Mentoring support for school students to build their confidence and well-being

Our Youth Mentoring program supports school students (7-17 years old) who are having trouble at school by pairing them with a trained Volunteer Mentor.

This referral-based program involves the mentors visiting students one to two times per week at school and providing support by listening, assisting with goal settings and helping them to recognise their strengths.

Mentors then develop their strengths and act as a sounding board for their ideas and problems in positive, constructive and respectful ways to help them achieve their goals in all aspects of life.

We are always recruiting new mentors that have a keen interest in helping students in this program. If you are interested in giving back to the community and volunteering as a mentor, you will require a Blue Card, and you will need to complete some simple online training. Please call the office or visit our centre to find out more.
