A unique and transformative educational approach, known as Equine-Facilitated Learning (EFL), is captivating the hearts of young local minds and powerfully impacting youth development. 

EFL was introduced to HBNC by Cheri Peters, long-term Reconnect program team member. Cheri has dedicated many years to training the horses who work alongside and support young people in our community.

Unlike traditional educational methods, Equine-Facilitated Learning uses the innate sensitivity and intuitive nature of horses to guide and inspire participants in their learning journey.

Through non-riding activities such as grooming, leading, and interacting with the horses, young people develop essential life skills, gain confidence, and learn to build trusting relationships.
