Improving the well-being and capacity of parents and carers

Bay Families strives to identify and address the needs and concerns of vulnerable and disadvantaged families as they care for children.

With a focus on early intervention for children younger than 12 years, Bay Families' Family Support Workers help parents/carers with children (aged 0-18 years) experiencing personal, social, emotional or financial difficulties.

Our Family Support Worker can help parents and carers with:

  • Positive parenting
  • Coping strategies
  • Self-care
  • Behaviour management
  • Family routines
  • Budgeting and household management
  • Nutrition
  • Childcare & schooling issues
  • Accessing local resources
  • Referrals to specialist support if the need is identified
