We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting our always popular Open Day on Friday, April 14th, from 10am to 1pm. The event, held in and around the Hervey Bay Community Centre at 22 Charles St, is a free event for the community, with a range of family activities on offer.

It's an opportunity to celebrate the community we live in and to promote harmony and kindness, while offering information and education about the services HBNC provides.

This year's theme will be "Country Kindness", so expect a good, old-fashioned day of family fun!

Open Day promises to be an exciting and engaging event for all ages. There will be a wide variety of activities to enjoy, including face painting, arts and crafts, games, inflatable rides and much more.

A range of food and drink vendors will be available, as well as a BBQ.

Cate Akaveka, HBNC's Enterprise and Development Manager, said the event was always a highlight for the school holidays.

"We are thrilled to offer this free family fun day to the Hervey Bay community," Cate said.

"This is an excellent opportunity for families to spend time together, enjoy some fun activities, and connect with their community."

There is no need to book for the event - just come along and enjoy the fun!

HBNC has been serving the community since 1989 and offers a range of programs and services designed to improve the quality of life for local residents. The centre provides support to individuals and families who are experiencing difficulties, including homelessness, financial hardship, and social isolation.

Open Day is part of our ongoing efforts to engage with the community and promote the importance of building strong, supportive networks.
