HBNC is excited to announce the launch of a new service, the Community Access Program (CAP), which is set to provide vital support to Fraser Coast residents.

The program aims to provide service navigation, financial literacy, digital literacy and safety, and mental, social, and emotional wellbeing support.

The Community Access Program will help residents (with priority given to those aged 18-36) in navigating available services and providing case management practices that ensure timely and appropriate service referrals.

The program will also provide financial literacy support to participants by linking them to services, helping them manage and improve their budgeting and financial skills.

Participants will also be provided with digital literacy and safety support to upskill their digital skills and build awareness and understanding around maintaining online safety.

Community Access Program team members David Sutherland and Narelle Duroux are excited to support the community.

HBNC recognises the importance of mental, social, and emotional wellbeing and has included these as essential components of the program. Participants will be provided with mental, social, and emotional wellbeing support services and linked to additional support services as required. By empowering participants to take greater agency over their mental wellbeing and increase their social connections, the program aims to improve the overall health and wellbeing of the community.

CEO of HBNC, Tanya Stevenson, said the Community Access Program was developed in response to the unique needs of the Fraser Coast.

“We are thrilled to launch this program to support our local community. The Community Access Program provides a holistic approach to supporting residents’ financial and digital literacy, ensuring that they receive the appropriate support, information and education to improve their lives and achieve their goals. We look forward to seeing the positive impact the program will have on our community,” Tanya said.
