At HBNC, we believe volunteering is the heart of our community. Now, we’re excited to launch a new initiative aimed at getting to the heart of volunteering.

We are so grateful to the many people who donate their time and energy to making our region a better place – both through HBNC and other community clubs, groups and organisations.

It’s our hope to see a culture of volunteering nurtured and grown in our region, and we want to understand what volunteering means to our community.

That’s why we are thrilled to announce the launch of a new initiative aimed at shaping the future of volunteering in the Fraser Coast region.

Fraser Coast Volunteer Survey

The Fraser Coast Volunteer Survey will cover a diverse range of topics, including motivations for volunteering, past volunteering experiences, and suggestions for enhancing the volunteering ecosystem. By listening to the voices of those who have selflessly dedicated their time and energy, HBNC aims to strengthen the existing volunteering framework and empower individuals to make a lasting impact.

Tanya Stevenson, HBNC CEO, said volunteering was vital to a thriving community.

"This survey presents an invaluable opportunity for us to hear straight from the heart of our community members, to better grasp their attitudes towards volunteering, and to create a future where volunteering is not just an activity, but a way of life,” Tanya said.

Christian Berechree, HBNC Operations Manager, shared his excitement for the project.

"This survey embodies our dedication to inclusivity, compassion, and unity. We want to acknowledge the enormous contributions of our volunteers and, in turn, inspire others to embark on this transformative journey of giving back,” Christian said.

Open to Fraser Coast residents and community members of all ages, the survey is accessible online through the HBNC website.

Participants are encouraged to share their honest thoughts and stories to help shape the future of volunteering in the Fraser Coast region.
