Kate and her mum can't imagine a week without coming to Comfort Kitchen.

The Hervey Bay locals and regular diners at HBNC's free weekly community meal have not only found some relief for their budget, but a sense of community and connection.

Kate says they have made "friends who are like family" in other Comfort Kitchen diners.
