Do you want to help the next big idea for the Fraser Coast get off the ground? All you have to do is click "like" on Facebook!

Voting for the Pitch Night Community Choice Award is now open! The Judges' Choice Award, presented at Pitch Night on Tuesday, November 8th, went to Assistance in Disaster, an idea pitched by two Year 10 students from St Mary's. The competition doesn't end there, however, and there are still two weeks to get your votes in for the Community Choice Awards.

HBNC's Community Development Manager, Cate Akaveka, said the Community Choice Award was a great way for members of the public to get behind the idea they think the community needs most.

"All the pitches presented on the night deserve to win, of course, but we really want to the community to have their say on which one receives the $2500, thanks to event sponsor, Geldard Sherrington Lawyers," Cate said.

"If you want to see grassroots change in our community, all you have to do is log on to Facebook and 'like' your favourite pitch."
