Scone Time is thriving at The Tree House: Urangan Community Wellness Centre. Held on the second Friday of the month, at 10am, it is an opportunity to get together, eat some delicious scones, enjoy a cuppa, and make new friends.

HBNC CEO, Tanya Stevenson, said “Scone Time is aimed at encouraging connection and building friendships over tea, coffee and scones.

“This monthly morning tea, held at the Urangan Community Wellness Centre, is particularly valuable for people who are new to town, the elderly and anyone struggling with social isolation.”

There are many reasons to come along and develop friendships. Moving to a new place and getting to know new people can be difficult, but this is a great place to grow friendships, and help others who are feeling isolated.

Over 35 locals attended Scone Time in September, with volunteers ensuring a fantastic event.

It is also a self-funded event and relies on the generous support of local individuals, organisations and businesses.
