Culture Caf events will be bigger and better in 2023.

This much-loved event and celebration of different cultures is evolving, to make it more accessible to the whole community.

Up until now, Culture Caf has been a monthly lunch event, focusing on a different culture and cuisine.

In 2023, the time and day will change for each event.

These different times will allow for more members of the community to be able to attend an event of their choosing. Some events will be at night to cater for those that work during the day, while others will be held during the day.

No matter the time, Culture Caf will still be an event that promotes social inclusion, connections in our community and understanding across cultures.

Our first event will be March 18^th for Harmony Day, at Hervey Bay Community Centre, starting at 10am. We will have music, dancing and a fashion parade. Food will be available to purchase on the day.

 

Chance to connect in a different way

Even though Culture Caf is changing, Thursdays once a month can still be a time for connection and food. For anyone looking for some good conversation on the first Thursday of each month, Scone Time is on at the Urangan Community Centre from 10am to 11:30am. 

The cost is $5.00 for a fresh scone and a cup of tea or coffee.
