After a highly successful inaugural event in 2021, the Tree House Ball is back!

This gala fundraising event raised close to $20,000 for the all new Tree House: Urangan Community Wellness Centre last year.

Now it is coming back to Hervey Bay Boat Club on September 3rd, with an all new theme.

Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre CEO, Tanya Stevenson, said the theme of Black and White with a Hint of Gold not only made for a spectacular event, it also carried a deeper meaning.

“This event carries the message that wellness is never black and white,” Tanya said.

“Through the new wellness centre, we want to create a space that supports all types of health and wellbeing – whether that be physical, mental, emotional, cultural, spiritual or social.

Construction on the major expansion of the Urangan Community Centre continues at the Botanic Gardens site, with the opening date set for March.

Thank you to the Federal Government for funding $1.5 million towards this upgrade and to the Fraser Coast Regional Council for supporting the project.

Tanya said fundraising was still needed to support the fit-out and ongoing maintenance costs of the centre.

“We invite the Fraser Coast community to partner with us on this exciting new project by supporting it financially.”

Thank you to the Hervey Bay Boat Club, Kingfisher Bay Resort and Susan River Homestead who have already donated items for the auction on the night.
