Paws & People - Intermediate Dog/Puppy Obedience – 4 Week Series

Intermediate Dog Training Series is a four-week, structured program designed for handlers and dogs who have already completed beginner training.If you haven’t completed beginner training, please contact Hannah (0475 586 184) to discuss whether the intermediate course is suitable for your pet. 

The series focuses on strengthening reliability, improving communication, and advancing practical obedience skills using positive, effective training techniques. Each session builds on the previous week, giving handlers time to practise at home and return with questions and progress updates.

The program works on reinforcing core behaviours with increased duration and distraction, improving lead work and recall, and introducing more advanced engagement exercises and tricks to strengthen focus and confidence.

This program is designed to be attended as a full series to achieve the best outcomes for both handler and dog.

Session Dates:

• Week 1 – 23 July: Revision of previous course and commands. Overview of advanced commands.
• Week 2 – 30 July: Advancing commands using duration 
• Week 3 – 6 August: Advancing commands with distractions
• Week 4 – 13 August: Combining and advancing cues in all three areas together

Time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Location: The Neighbourhood Hive, 184 Boat Harbour Drive, Pialba

Cost: $30 per session

Class Rules & Requirements:

• Dogs must be fully vaccinated
• Proof of vaccination is required
• No aggressive dogs
• Handlers must be 18 years or older
• Please bring treats for your dog
