Paws & People - Beginner Dog/Puppy Obedience – 4 Week Series

Dog/Puppy Obedience is a four-week, structured training series designed to help handlers build strong foundations with their dogs using positive, practical techniques.

Each week builds on the previous session, allowing time to practise skills at home and return with questions and progress updates. The series covers training basics, core commands, lead walking, recall, and finishes with fun tricks to reinforce engagement and confidence.

This program is designed to be attended as a full series to gain the best outcomes for both handler and dog.

Session Dates:

• Week 1 – 25 June: Training basics, equipment, treats, name recognition, sit & lie down

• Week 2 – 2 July: Revision plus stay and recall

• Week 3 – 9 July: Revision plus lead walking and heel

• Week 4 – 16 July: Revision plus tricks (spin & roll over)

Time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Location: The Neighbourhood Hive, 184 Boat Harbour Drive, Pialba

Cost: $30 per session

Class Rules & Requirements:

• Dogs must be fully vaccinated

• Proof of vaccination is required

• No aggressive dogs

• Handlers must be 18 years or older

Additional Notes:

• People may attend even if they do not currently have a dog
