Our newest volunteer, Patrick McMohan, feels blessed to be working with the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre.

A highly resourceful tradesperson, he approached HBNC looking for opportunities to give back to the community by putting his skills and knowledge to good use.

Patrick helps by volunteering his time gardening and cleaning the outdoor spaces of our community centres. His previous experience in the timber industry also enables him to help us with essential maintenance work such as repairing office furniture.

He loves the freedom and the warmth the organization provides to everyone. He believes HBNC and its staff provide a positive experience to the community through activities such as providing free legal advice and valuable support to the homeless.

A Queenslander through and through, he moved to Hervey Bay early last year from Logan where he lived for close to three decades. He loves the beautiful weather Hervey Bay offers and enjoys its serenity with his children who come to visit him every now and then.

If you would like to join Patrick in exchanging ideas, knowledge and skills while making new friends, register for the new Fraser Coast Heroes Volunteer Database at www.frasercoastheroes.com
