Two of our inspirational leaders have been named Women of Influence in a Fraser Coast Chronicle power list (please note - a subscription is needed to read the full article).

CEO Tanya Stevenson and Local Learning Network Team Leader, Karla Steen, were featured on the list.

Tanya was recognised for her more than 20 years of community sector experience, including her incredible efforts in leading the expansion of the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre in recent years.

The Chronicle article acknowledged Tanya's leadership in establishing The Neighbourhood Hive and the Tree House: Urangan Community Wellness Centre.

Karla, meanwhile, was acknowledged for her work on the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service Board, as well as her expertise as a government communicator.

Her leadership of the highly successful Local Learning Network program was cited as an example of her ability to create and drive community-building programs.

Here at the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre, we are fortunate to have so many inspirational - and influential - community leaders driving our organisation forward and building a more resilient Fraser Coast.
