The Play With Your Kids team proudly represented HBNC at Kawungan State School’s Under 8s Day, bringing a burst of creativity and fun to the young students.

The event, held on July 17, saw children from pre-school to Year 2 eagerly engaging in a variety of hands-on activities designed to inspire their imaginations and foster their creativity.

The Play With Your Kids team set up a vibrant stall offering rock painting, bead threading, and block building.

Sheenah Heinonen, HBNC’s Families, Children, and Youth Manager, said these activities were a hit among the children, who delighted in the chance to express themselves artistically and create their own unique masterpieces.

“Creativity plays a crucial role in the development of young minds,” Sheenah said.

“Through activities like rock painting, bead threading, and block building, children not only have fun but also enhance their fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-expression. It’s wonderful to see their faces light up as they create and explore.”

Under 8s Day is an annual event that celebrates the first eight years of children's lives, and encourages learning through play.
