This fast-paced event consists of 2-minute blasts and a 5-minute showcase on the latest news in the community services sector.

There is a share table where you are welcome to display flyers, posters and business cards.  Please remember to take any that remain after the event back with you, as there is no storage space to keep them at HBNC.

9am to 10am There will also be a free training session before the main Interagency meeting.  Basic Rights Queensland will deliver a Centrelink Information Session.  Find out more here.

10am to 11am Main Interagency Meeting

11am to 11:30  Networking tea and coffee

11.30am Attendees are invited to attend one of two chat rooms:

  • Community Development with community engagement officer Cate Akaveka
  • Emergency Relief with CEO Tanya Stevenson

Please ensure you register for both the main meeting AND the chat room/training session you wish to attend as registrations are subject to COVID-19 restrictions.

Chat Room 1

Community Development

Following some recent conversations about services working in isolation (particularly since Covid), we want to hold a get together with ‘community development officer’ type positions from across the Wide Bay Burnett region.  The aim is to share information on things like key community issues, key initiatives, barriers to service delivery etc and also generally just a meet and greet. For more information, please contact Cate Akaveka at [email protected]

Chat Room 2

Emergency Relief

In preparation for the end of JobKeeper and JobSeeker we wish to ensure all services are aware of the Emergency Relief availability from organisations.

We also would like to review the Just in Case Card information and ensure all info is up to date for re-print.
