Other Activities Located at the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre Educational Groups Bay Connect - Provides internet access in the foyer of the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre from 9 - 3 pm daily Monday to Friday with a volunteer in attendance if you require any help. Small fee for Health Care Card or Pension Card Holders of $ 2.00 per hour. Parent Effectiveness Training courses: are also facilitated by Claire Beach Eight week Parent Effectiveness Training courses are held throughout the year at the Neighbourhood Centre. Phone Claire on 4128 2611 University of the Third Age: holds classes in creative writing, languages, photography and discussion groups.For more information on any U3A classes contact Sue on 4128 3477 Multiple Births Association: is an informal group who meet for discussion and social support on all matters relating to raising twins, triplets etc. The meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Fitness & Exercise: Belly Dancing classes are held every Thursday and Saturday morning at 10.00am to practise this ancient, exotic dance movement. Belly dancing suits any size, shape or age- so don’t be shy. Come along for an enjoyable time that will also provide beneficial exercise. If you are interested in a light exercise program combined with gentle relaxation then Relaxercise is ideal for you. The Relaxercise classes are run by a qualified sports instructor and are designed to meet the needs of the maturer age group. Classes are held every Tuesday afternoon from 2pm.
