Community Visitors Scheme For The Community

Visitors Scheme [a Federal Government Initiative] is a group of Volunteers, sponsored by the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre, who set aside some of their spare time to visit older people living in the Tri Care Point Vernon Nursing Home & Fairhaven in Maryborough.

The Community Visitors Scheme plays an important role in improving the quality of life of many isolated, lonely people living in nursing homes.

By meeting, spending time, and becoming friends with an older person we are able to bring  new interests to that persons life.
